Hells Angels associate Seywan Moradi, Simko Eliassi, Andrew Hopwood and Hussain Ali Alzuain guilty over Adelaide shopping centre brawl

FOUR men have admitted taking part in a violent brawl, in a busy shopping centre, during which an alleged New Boys gangster was stabbed.

Simko Eliassi, 24, of Walkley Heights, Andrew Hopwood, 25, of North Plympton, Seywan Moradi, 25, of Walkley Heights, and Hussain Ali Alzuain, 24, of Parafield Gardens, appeared in the District Court today.

They each pleaded guilty to one count of affray.

On July 29, 2010, the four men were involved in a brawl in the Myer store at Tea Tree Plaza, Modbury.

Previously, prosecutors had claimed they shook hands with their victim – allegedly an associate of the New Boys street gang – in the store’s fragrance section before punching, stabbing and kicking him.

The men had been due to stand trial today but entered pleas following negotiations with prosecutors.

An affray charge against another man – Mohamed Alzuain, 21, of Parafield Gardens – was withdrawn.

Prosecutors told the court CCTV footage of the incident would be played as part of sentencing submissions.

Judge Paul Rice remanded the men on continuing bail until September.
